Epoch Bookings ("we", "us", "our") operates this website to help people find and book driving instructors and other mobile professionals online. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information we collect

Booking information
When you make a booking through our site, we collect your name and phone number so the instructor can contact you about your lesson. We also collect the pickup location and time slot you select.

Payment information
If your booking requires prepayment, card details are collected and processed entirely by Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe may set its own cookies to process payments and prevent fraud.

Location data
When you search for instructors, we collect the postcode you enter to find instructors in your area. We also store your selected pickup location in your browser's local storage so you don't have to re-enter it. We do not track your GPS location.

Analytics
We use Simple Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies and does not track you across websites. We collect anonymous page views, scroll depth, and button interactions to understand how the site is used and improve it. A random session identifier is stored in your browser's session storage to group interactions within a single visit — it is not persisted after you close the tab.

UTM parameters
If you arrive via a marketing link (e.g. from Google Ads), we store the UTM source in session storage to understand which channels bring visitors to the site. This is cleared when you close the tab.

2. How we use your information

• To connect you with a driving instructor and confirm your booking
• To process payments securely via Stripe
• To show you instructors available near your location
• To understand how the site is used and improve the experience

We do not:

• Sell or share your data with third parties for marketing
• Use targeted advertising or ad trackers
• Track you across other websites

3. Who we share data with

We share your information only where necessary to provide the service:

• Driving instructors — your name, phone number, chosen time slot, and pickup location are shared with the instructor you book so they can confirm and carry out your lesson.
• Stripe — processes payments on our behalf. Stripe's use of your data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Simple Analytics — receives anonymous, non-personal page view data. Simple Analytics does not use cookies or collect personal information.

4. Cookies and local storage

This site uses minimal browser storage:

• Local storage — your selected pickup location, so you don't need to re-enter it during your visit.
• Session storage — a random session ID and UTM source for analytics, cleared when you close the tab.
• Stripe cookies — Stripe may set cookies when you reach the payment step, for fraud prevention and payment processing.

We do not set any advertising or tracking cookies.

5. How your information is stored

Booking and personal data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Our infrastructure is hosted on reputable cloud providers within the United Kingdom.

We retain booking data only for as long as needed to provide the service and meet any legal obligations.

6. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
• Lodge a complaint with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office)
