These terms govern your use of the Epoch Bookings website ("the site") operated by Epoch Bookings ("we", "us", "our"). By using the site or making a booking, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What the site does

Epoch Bookings is a platform that connects learner drivers and other customers ("you") with independent driving instructors and mobile professionals ("instructors"). We provide the technology to search for instructors, view their availability, and book and pay for sessions online.

2. Our role

We are a booking platform, not a driving school. We do not employ or directly supervise instructors. Each instructor listed on the site is an independent professional responsible for the quality and delivery of their own services.

We facilitate the connection and booking process, but the contract for the lesson or session itself is between you and the instructor.

3. Bookings

When you make a booking through the site, you are requesting a session with a specific instructor at a specific time and location. You will need to provide your name and phone number so the instructor can contact you.

A booking is confirmed once you have completed the booking process on the site. If prepayment is required, the booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.

You are responsible for providing accurate information, including your pickup location and contact details.

4. Payments

Where an instructor requires prepayment, payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. All payment information is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with PCI DSS standards.

The price displayed at checkout is the total amount you will be charged, including any session fees and location hire costs where applicable.

5. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund policies are set by each individual instructor. Where an instructor has provided a refund policy, it will be available to view before you confirm your booking.

If an instructor has not specified a refund policy, you should contact them directly to discuss any changes or cancellations. We recommend doing so as early as possible.

If you believe you are entitled to a refund and cannot resolve the matter with the instructor, contact us at adam@epochbookings.com and we will do our best to help.

6. Instructor listings

Instructors on the site set their own prices, availability, and service descriptions. We display this information as provided by the instructor. While we take reasonable steps to ensure listings are accurate, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all information provided by third parties.

Driving instructors listed on the site should hold a valid DVSA-approved driving instructor (ADI) qualification. If you have concerns about an instructor's credentials, please let us know.

7. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate personal and contact information when booking
• Arrive at the agreed location on time for your lesson
• Treat instructors with courtesy and respect
• Not use the site for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage or impair its operation

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Epoch Bookings is not liable for:

• The quality, safety, or outcome of any lesson or session delivered by an instructor
• Any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, except where caused by our negligence
• Any dispute between you and an instructor, although we will try to assist where we can

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the site available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to suspend or restrict access for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.

10. Intellectual property

All content on the site — including text, design, logos, and code — is owned by Epoch Bookings or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our written permission.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
